This is our story.
(1965-1975) R.Franco, S.A. was founded
Joaquín and Jesús Franco Muñoz enter the gaming industry from a small workshop located in the Paseo de Extremadura area, manufacturing and operating the first own-branded gaming machines in Spain following the incorporation of Recreativos Franco, SA.
(1975-1985) Leadership and international expansion

(1985-1995) National consolidation
First historic benchmark: 70,000 Baby Fruit model amusement with prize machines manufactured in Spain. R. Franco is the first manufacturer in the world to access the Russian market. Creation of Cía. Orenes de Recreativos, S.A., a partner of the R. Franco Group and owner of casinos, arcades and bingos, currently one of the first Spanish operators in the industry. Continued international expansion, particularly in Italy.
(1995-2005) New records
A new record is beaten: more than 30,000 units of one model, the Santa Fe Lotto, are produced, and all machines in the Spanish and European market are adapted to the new Euro currency. A new plant is opened in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to provide the growing South American market with the most efficient service. In the European arena, we are presented with the Gara award in Italy, turning R. Franco into one of the gaming monopoly licensees in the said country. Rete Franco Italia becomes incorporated and, by the end of 2004, more than 10,000 machines are incorporated in more than 6,000 points of sale throughout Italy. This way, Recreativos Franco covered its first forty years manufacturing amusement with prize, slot and bingo machines. R. Franco achieves a new milestone gaining 40% of the Spanish market share with one model: the Gnomos. Also in our country, a new division is created to manufacture bingo games and bingo halls interconnection systems. R. Franco expands its premises and moves its factory to Arganda, Madrid.
(2005-2015) International consolidation
R. Franco moves its headquarters and R+D+i and prototype areas to its new and current headquarters in Madrid.
The company definitely concentrates on the development, manufacture and sale of recreational and gambling machines, reinforcing its position in Central America by designing new models and games for the Mexican market.
During this decade, it launched three successful consecutive models: Gnomos Mix, RF Neópolis and Flor de Loto, which set a new milestone in the entertainment industry in Spain.
(2015-Present) The digital leap
In May 2015, through its subsidiary R. Franco Digital, it obtained two General Online Gaming Licences: Betting, Slots and Casino.
In the last quarter of 2015, Grupo R. Franco Group took the definitive leap into the online universe with the launch in Spain of Wanabet, the Group’s online gaming and sports betting platform, which was created with the aim of becoming a national and international benchmark.
Thus, Grupo R. Franco Group is immersed in an intense process of convergence of its experience and know-how with the online gaming universe.
In 2016, Grupo R. Franco Group invested with a majority stake in Mediatech Solutions, becoming the only Spanish group with a range of products capable of offering an omnichannel, open and complete solution to Gaming Operators.
In 2021, Grupo R. Franco and Orenes Grupo merge with the aim of continuing to grow and take a step further in its consolidation as a benchmark in leisure and entertainment, as well as in digital and retail technological development.
With this union, both brands are established as the largest manufacturer of gaming machines and distributor of games for casinos, gaming halls and bars in Spain, which will operate in the 17 autonomous communities of the European country.
